Top Quran Lines & Verses That Can Make You Love Jesus Even More.

I love Jesus. I do not worship him, but my heart is brimming with love for his sense of divine self and humanity given to others. He was a wonderful being divinely created for a higher purpose for us. I love him for who he was, and who he will be eternally as a prophet, messenger, and physical representation of the love that God has for humans sent as a Mercy to us.

Here are the top Quran verses to make you love Jesus EVEN more than you already do. ❤

2:87 And We did certainly give Moses the Torah and followed up after him with messengers. And We gave Jesus, the son of Mary, clear proofs and supported him with the Pure Spirit.

2:253 Those messengers – some of them We caused to exceed others. Among them were those to whom Allah spoke, and He raised some of them in degree. And We gave Jesus, the Son of Mary, clear proofs, and We supported him with the Pure Spirit.

3:45 [And mention] when the angels said, “O Mary, indeed Allah gives you good tidings of a word from Him, whose name will be the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary – distinguished in this world and the Hereafter and among those brought near [to Allah ].

3:48-49 And He will teach him writing and wisdom and the Torah and the Gospel And [make him] a messenger to the Children of Israel, [who will say], ‘Indeed I have come to you with a sign from your Lord in that I design for you from clay [that which is] like the form of a bird, then I breathe into it and it becomes a bird by permission of Allah . And I cure the blind and the leper, and I give life to the dead – by permission of Allah . And I inform you of what you eat and what you store in your houses. Indeed in that is a sign for you, if you are believers.

3:52-55 But when Jesus felt [persistence in] disbelief from them, he said, “Who are my supporters for [the cause of] Allah ?” The disciples said,” We are supporters for Allah . We have believed in Allah and testify that we are Muslims [submitting to Him]. Our Lord, we have believed in what You revealed and have followed the messenger Jesus, so register us among the witnesses [to truth].” And the disbelievers planned, but Allah planned. And Allah is the best of planners. [Mention] when Allah said, “O Jesus, indeed I will take you and raise you to Myself and purify you from those who disbelieve and make those who follow you [in submission to Allah alone] superior to those who disbelieve until the Day of Resurrection. Then to Me is your return, and I will judge between you concerning that in which you used to differ.

3:59 Indeed, the example of Jesus to Allah is like that of Adam. He created Him from dust; then He said to him, “Be,” and he was.

5:46 And We sent, following in their footsteps, Jesus, the son of Mary, confirming that which came before him in the Torah; and We gave him the Gospel, in which was guidance and light and confirming that which preceded it of the Torah as guidance and instruction for the righteous.

21:91 And (remember) her (Mary) who guarded her chastity: We breathed into her of Our spirit, and We made her and her son a sign for all peoples.

43:59 Jesus was not but a servant upon whom We bestowed favor, and We made him an example for the Children of Israel.

43:61 And indeed, Jesus will be [a sign for] knowledge of the Hour, so be not in doubt of it, and follow Me. This is a straight path.

43:63 And when Jesus brought clear proofs, he said, “I have come to you with wisdom and to make clear to you some of that over which you differ, so fear (respect) Allah and obey me.

57:27 Then We sent following their footsteps Our messengers and followed [them] with Jesus, the son of Mary, and gave him the Gospel. And We placed in the hearts of those who followed him compassion and mercy and monasticism, which they innovated; We did not prescribe it for them except [that they did so] seeking the approval of Allah . But they did not observe it with due observance. So We gave the ones who believed among them their reward, but many of them are defiantly disobedient.

61:6 And [mention] when Jesus, the son of Mary, said, “O children of Israel, indeed I am the messenger of Allah to you confirming what came before me of the Torah and bringing good tidings of a messenger to come after me, whose name is Ahmad.” But when he came to them with clear evidences, they said, “This is obvious magic.”

19:12 [ Allah ] said, “O John, take the Scripture with determination.” And We gave him judgement [while yet] a boy And affection from Us and purity, and he was fearing of Allah. And dutiful to his parents, and he was not a disobedient tyrant. And peace be upon him the day he was born and the day he dies and the day he is raised alive.

19:16-21 And mention, [O Muhammad], in the Book [the story of] Mary, when she withdrew from her family to a place toward the east. And she took, in seclusion from them, a screen. Then We sent to her Our Angel, and he represented himself to her as a well-proportioned man. She said, “Indeed, I seek refuge in the Most Merciful from you, [so leave me], if you should be fearing of Allah .” He said, “I am only the messenger of your Lord to give you [news of] a pure boy.” She said, “How can I have a boy while no man has touched me and I have not been unchaste?”  He said, “Thus [it will be]; your Lord says, ‘It is easy for Me, and We will make him a sign to the people and a mercy from Us. And it is a matter [already] decreed.’ “

19:30-34 [Jesus] said, “Indeed, I am the servant of Allah . He has given me the Scripture and made me a prophet. And He has made me blessed wherever I am and has enjoined upon me prayer and charity as long as I remain alive. And [made me] dutiful to my mother, and He has not made me a wretched tyrant. And peace is on me the day I was born and the day I will die and the day I am raised alive.” That is Jesus, the son of Mary – the word of truth about which they are in dispute.

19:36[Jesus said], “And indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. That is a straight path.”

5:118 Jesus will say…If You should punish them – indeed they are Your servants; but if You forgive them – indeed it is You who is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

True Muslims see Jesus as a divine being created from God for an example of our potential for humanity and a Mercy to us.

Surah Al-A’raf : Chapter 7 (line 40-50) the Elevations

40. Those who reject Our revelations and are too arrogant to uphold them-the doors of Heaven will not be opened for them, nor will they enter Paradise, until the camel passes through the eye of the needle. Thus We repay the guilty.

41. For them is a couch of hell, and above them are sheets of fire. Thus We repay the wrongdoers.

42. As for those who believe and do righteous works-We never burden any soul beyond its capacity-these are the inhabitants of the Garden; abiding therein eternally.

43. We will remove whatever rancor is in their hearts. Rivers will flow beneath them. And they will say, “Praise be to God, who has guided us to this. Had God not guided us, we would never be guided. The messengers of our Lord did come with the truth.” And it will be proclaimed to them, “This is the Garden you are made to inherit, on account of what you used to do.”

44. And the inhabitants of the Garden will call out to the inmates of the Fire, “We found what our Lord promised us to be true; did you find what your Lord promised you to be true?” They will say, “Yes.” Thereupon a caller will announce in their midst, “The curse of God is upon the wrongdoers.”

45. “Those who hinder from the path of God, and seek to distort it, and who deny the Hereafter.”

46. And between them is a partition, and on the Elevations are men who recognize everyone by their features. They will call to the inhabitants of the Garden, “Peace be upon you.” They have not entered it, but they are hoping.

47. And when their eyes are directed towards the inmates of the Fire, they will say, “Our Lord, do not place us among the wrongdoing people.”

48. And the dwellers of the Elevations will call to men they recognize by their features, saying, “Your hoardings did not avail you, nor did your arrogance.”

49. “Are these the ones you swore God will not touch with mercy?” “Enter the Garden; you have nothing to fear, and you will not grieve.”

50. The inmates of the Fire will call on the inhabitants of the Garden, “Pour some water over us, or some of what God has provided for you.” They will say, “God has forbidden them for the disbelievers.”

My Interpretation:

Gabriel is giving Muhammad a glimpse mentally of the isolation of Hell felt when the punishment comes. The reason this is, is to be able to sincerely tell others to change their ways before they enter such a place of despair.

There seem to be different levels of Hell. With layers of fire above them. This is a hard image to grasp, but I believe it is talking about the layers that will separate the evil ones from the people in Heaven who are elevated higher above these layers of fire. There will be a moment when those from Hell will call up to those beneath them and that is when a voice will be heard that they will experience no such bliss because of what they did on earth.

This also very much to me represents lower consciousness and higher consciousness.

The believers will be in bliss and all bitterness or a sense of anger at the evil people on earth will be removed. This is the most comforting of all ideas for me personally. Right now, I have been carrying so much anger towards evil people who are just killing, hoarding, and being selfish towards others. In the end, all of those feelings will be removed as justice will be had.

But there is always Mercy for those that deserve it, and God is a Just Creator full of balance and fairness. So the people that have been thought to go to Hell by others on earth, will be at mercy if they did not do two things:

  1. hoard the wealth so others could suffer.
  2. be arrogant and not remained open to learn about God’s words from the messengers.

The inhabitants of Hell will ask for water to soothe them, from Heaven, but the people in Heaven will call down saying God has forbidden us to help you. God knows best.

Surah Al-Ma’idah : Chapter 5 (line 30-40) The Table

30. Then His soul prompted him to kill his brother, so he killed him, and became one of the losers.

31. Then God sent a raven digging the ground, to show him how to cover his brother’s corpse. He said, “Woe to me! I was unable to be like this raven, and bury my brother’s corpse.” So he became full of regrets.

32. Because of that We ordained for the Children of Israel: that whoever kills a person-unless it is for murder or corruption on earth-it is as if he killed the whole of mankind; and whoever saves it, it is as if he saved the whole of mankind. Our messengers came to them with clarifications, but even after that, many of them continue to commit excesses in the land.

33. The punishment for those who fight God and His Messenger, and strive to spread corruption on earth, is that they be killed, or crucified, or have their hands and feet cut off on opposite sides, or be banished from the land. That is to disgrace them in this life; and in the Hereafter they will have a terrible punishment.

34. Except for those who repent before you apprehend them. So know that God is Forgiving and Merciful.

35. O you who believe! Be conscious of God, and seek the means of approach to Him, and strive in His cause, so that you may succeed.

36. As for those who disbelieve, even if they owned everything on earth, and the like of it with it, and they offered it to ransom themselves from the torment of the Day of Resurrection, it will not be accepted from them. For them is a painful punishment.

37. They will want to leave the Fire, but they will not leave it. For them is a lasting punishment.

38. As for the thief, whether male or female, cut their hands as a penalty for what they have reaped-a deterrent from God. God is Mighty and Wise.

39. But whoever repents after his crime, and reforms, God will accept his repentance. God is Forgiving and Merciful.

40. Do you not know that to God belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth? He punishes whom He wills, and He forgives whom He wills. And God is Capable of everything.

My Interpretation:

Muhammad is told that Cain could not find a way to bury his brother’s dead body, so a crow was sent to Cain to torture him with guilt as he dug the hole for Abel’s body. It showed Cain that he was ignorant even in a way that made a crow above him in intelligence.

From then on murder, unless it is for self defense or to stop corruption on earth, is seen as murder to the whole human race. And saving one life, is like saving all of humanity. God tied us together and made it so important for us to understand that what one does to one, does to another ultimately.

Gabriel is giving explicit commands to Muhammad that those who make war against God and His Angels, will be killed in their aggression, and their bodies will be dishonored by mutilating them for all to see. This is serious warnings coming from an Angel of God. At this point it was necessary to be so stern with the people who keep killing the messengers, and God’s innocent people of the land. There is no more tolerance of this behavior and justice either in this life or the next, will be had. The punishment for murder is strict, in order to keep people in fear of God, for those who don’t naturally incline towards peace.

Today, I believe we evolved past this type of punishment. I believe that God sends messengers to the people to comment on the certain times that they were in. Now it is up to us to evolve past this violence, and find new ways towards peace.

Cutting the hands of a thief may seem like a harsh punishment today, but in the past their lives were taken away for stealing. So this is a way to create a karma retribution to the thieves. If they commit a sin with their hands and take from another person, they lose that hand. No more unequal payments of thievery and the thief be killed before they can repent. Since theft is less of a sin than murder it is not to be punished the same.

But any criminal who repents and seeks sincere forgiveness from God, is looked at with Mercy. This is important for Muhammad to tell the people of the land. Justice must be served by those who are themselves just and honest, and to take into consideration when someone reforms and changes their ways for the better.

Surah An-Nisa : Chapter 4 (line 10-20) Women

10. Those who consume the wealth of orphans illicitly consume only fire into their bellies; and they will roast in a Blaze.

11. God instructs you regarding your children: The male receives the equivalent of the share of two females. If they are daughters, more than two, they get two-thirds of what he leaves. If there is only one, she gets one-half. As for the parents, each gets one-sixth of what he leaves, if he had children. If he had no children, and his parents inherit from him, his mother gets one-third. If he has siblings, his mother gets one-sixth. After fulfilling any bequest and paying off debts. Your parents and your children-you do not know which are closer to you in welfare. This is God’s Law. God is Knowing and Judicious.

12. You get one-half of what your wives leave behind, if they had no children. If they had children, you get one-fourth of what they leave. After fulfilling any bequest and paying off debts. They get one-fourth of what you leave behind, if you have no children. If you have children, they get one-eighth of what you leave. After fulfilling any bequest and paying off debts. If a man or woman leaves neither parents nor children, but has a brother or sister, each of them gets one-sixth. If there are more siblings, they share one-third. After fulfilling any bequest and paying off debts, without any prejudice. This is a will from God. God is Knowing and Clement.

13. These are the bounds set by God. Whoever obeys God and His Messenger, He will admit him into Gardens beneath which rivers flow, to abide therein forever. That is the great attainment.

14. But whoever disobeys God and His Messenger, and oversteps His bounds, He will admit him into a Fire, wherein he abides forever, and he will have a shameful punishment.

15. Those of your women who commit lewdness, you must have four witnesses against them, from among you. If they testify, confine them to the homes until death claims them, or God makes a way for them.

16. If two men among you commit it, punish them both. But if they repent and reform, leave them alone. God is Redeemer, Full of Mercy.

17. Repentance is available from God for those who commit evil out of ignorance, and then repent soon after. These-God will relent towards them. God is Knowing and Wise.

18. But repentance is not available for those who commit evils, until when death approaches one of them, he says, “Now I repent,” nor for those who die as disbelievers. These-We have prepared for them a painful torment.

19. O you who believe! It is not permitted for you to inherit women against their will. And do not coerce them in order to take away some of what you had given them, unless they commit a proven adultery. And live with them in kindness. If you dislike them, it may be that you dislike something in which God has placed much good.

20. If you wish to replace one wife with another, and you have given one of them a fortune, take nothing back from it. Would you take it back fraudulently and sinfully?

My Interpretation:

Wealth distribution in society is being laid out in terms of what is ethical and reasonable. Since men were the earners of the family in the past, they should receive twice as much as the females because the men are the providers. Men had to buy the materials to create a home, earn a living working hard in the sun to pay for food not grown by him. Men had the majority of financial responsibilities back then while women cleaned, cooked, and took care of children.

Gabriel is speaking towards the time at hand in 600AD and many people who read the Quran forget this. This needs to be taken into context of the time in history to fully understand the Quran and it’s laws. Still today, many women do stay home with the children while the men work. I personally, love this role as a care giver. Some women will work as well as their husband, but someone has to care for the children, so either it is you as the parent, or a nanny.

The distribution laws between relatives continue and it can be seen as a logical distribution according to the person’s age, status in life, and needs. There is a warning to remember these fair boundaries set and to not overstep them and take more of your share, or it can cause you to imprint badly on your own soul.

God makes it very hard to punish people. But in any society some form of justice has to be taken, so here Muhammad is given a way to protect women from unjust accusations of their personal character. It must be VERY hard to get 4 witnesses to say truthfully with the fear of God, that a women was acting in adultery. So instead of just having a riot charge at the prostitute that Jesus saved, named Mary Magdalene, there must be a true trial and witnesses. God must have found something honorable in her heart in order for Jesus to recognize her and to teach the people the unjustness of their ways.

Now in Arabia, a just trial had to be given where 4 people were true witnesses to seeing a women be a prostitute or cheat on her husband. And once again God knows the women’s heart. So if they are truly guilty of not being a good women who cares for herself and others, then she will perish in a prison. But if God does find her innocent or worthy of mercy in her quest for forgiveness, then through the acts of others, she will be released.

No more can men make one claim against a woman he lusts for or does not like, and she be killed by a riot or himself. NOW a law is established in these once pagan lands in Arabia.

Even men are not exempt from sleeping around on their wives now. They will be punished in the same way by God, except if they show sincere change and repent. But if someone is too stubborn to seek forgiveness until the day they fear their death-it is too late to show your change.

It was very difficult to be a woman BEFORE Islam, in these desert lands. As you can see women were forced into situations without any prior knowledge of consequences. God is indeed the protector of innocent women. No longer can a man rape, force a woman into a relationship with him, take all her wealth away, and then leave a woman for another younger woman. God is always watching and the Angels are always recording.

Men must be kind and just towards women-ALWAYS.

Surah Ali-Imran: Chapter 3 (line 170-180) The Family of Iram

170. Delighting in what God has given them out of His grace, and happy for those who have not yet joined them; that they have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve.

171. They rejoice in grace from God, and bounty, and that God will not waste the reward of the faithful.

172. Those who responded to God and the Messenger, despite the persecution they had suffered. For the virtuous and the pious among them is a great reward.

173. Those to whom the people have said, “The people have mobilized against you, so fear them.” But this only increased them in faith, and they said, “God is enough for us; He is the Excellent Protector.”

174. So they came back with grace from God, and bounty, and no harm having touched them. They pursued what pleases God. God possesses immense grace.

175. That is only Satan frightening his partisans; so do not fear them, but fear Me, if you are believers.

176. And do not be saddened by those who rush into disbelief. They will not harm God in the least. God desires to give them no share in the Hereafter. A terrible torment awaits them.

177. Those who exchange blasphemy for faith will not harm God in the least. A painful torment awaits them.

178. Those who disbelieve should not assume that We respite them for their own good. In fact, We only respite them so that they may increase in sinfulness. A humiliating torment awaits them.

179. God will not leave the believers as you are, without distinguishing the wicked from the sincere. Nor will God inform you of the future, but God elects from among His messengers whom He wills. So believe in God and His messengers. If you believe and practice piety, you will have a splendid reward.

180. Those who withhold what God has given them of his bounty should not assume that is good for them. In fact, it is bad for them. They will be encircled by their hoardings on the Day of Resurrection. To God belongs the inheritance of the heavens and the earth, and God is well acquainted with what you do.

My Interpretation:

Things are getting deep. Muhammad is explained how God works in this world, and it is shown to him in a way that he may teach others so that they may then teach the next generations.

The message is very clear to me. Those that remain steadfast in faith through the good and bad times of this world, are of the true believers and God recognizes this. It flows in accordance to His Will. Humility, but bravery. Bravery, yet kindness. Modesty, yet strength. These virtues are a delicate blend of both goodness and strength, and represents what God wills for us to become as humans. When a soldier truly embodies these ideals, they are rewarded by God in this world and the next.

I have a story to share that connects to this. A Christian woman I work with just yesterday whispered to me that God is good to her, because when she was younger she was kidnapped and beaten left for dead. But she survived and she became a good person knowing the value of life after almost loosing it. She teaches her kids the same and she keeps feeling blessed by God and what has been given to her. I have always felt a strong spirit in her, and she is an example of a true believer. She is my Christian sister. Mashallah.

When a person is weak at heart, and unkind, God can see this. Their cruelty and lust for things material may seem to go unpunished to others.  For awhile they feel they are blessed by their deities or Satan, but it is only to keep testing them and see how much further they dig themselves a hole into their own dark abyss. This can be attributed to some of the evil leaders of today even. Remember God is Just and Merciful, so if one should repent and want to make up for their mistakes as an evil person in the past, then God sees this and rewards a person accordingly. There is always a chance to turn things around, but it is about the intentions of a person. You have to prove to God that you wish to truly change.

If a person keeps on sinning, and doing themselves and others wrong..then God allows for this to happen until their deaths when all things are revealed to them, on the Last Days. And for them is a horrible punishment when their sins are revealed.

Instead of fearing this world, we are always reminded to fear for our souls instead. It brings in a new perspective of how temporary our lives really are. With this knowledge, your best dreams can always be accomplished.

Surah Ali-Imran: Chapter 3 (line 40-50) The Family of Iram

40. He said, “My Lord, how will I have a son, when old age has overtaken me, and my wife is barren?” He said, “Even so, God does whatever He wills.”

41. He said, “My Lord, give me a sign.” He said, “Your sign is that you shall not speak to the people for three days, except by gestures. And remember your Lord much, and praise in the evening and the morning.”

42. The angels said, “O Mary, God has chosen you, and has purified you. He has chosen you over all the women of the world.

43. “O Mary, be devoted to your Lord, and bow down, and kneel with those who kneel.”

44. These are accounts from the Unseen, which We reveal to you. You were not with them when they cast their lots as to which of them would take charge of Mary; nor were you with them as they quarreled.

45. The Angels said, “O Mary, God gives you good news of a Word from Him. His name is the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, well-esteemed in this world and the next, and one of the nearest.

46. He will speak to the people from the crib, and in adulthood, and will be one of the righteous.”

47. She said, “My Lord, how can I have a child, when no man has touched me?” He said, “It will be so. God creates whatever He wills. To have anything done, He only says to it, ‘Be,’ and it is.”

48. And He will teach him the Scripture and wisdom, and the Torah and the Gospel.

49. A messenger to the Children of Israel: “I have come to you with a sign from your Lord. I make for you out of clay the figure of a bird; then I breathe into it, and it becomes a bird by God’s leave. And I heal the blind and the leprous, and I revive the dead, by God’s leave. And I inform you concerning what you eat, and what you store in your homes. In that is a sign for you, if you are believers.”

50. “And verifying what lies before me of the Torah, and to make lawful for you some of what was forbidden to you. I have come to you with a sign from your Lord; so fear God, and obey me.”

My Interpretation:

Muhammad is given a glimpse of what happened in the past, when one reads the Quran it is like taking a time machine into ancient times. We are being shown that Zechariah was given the Signs that God’s promise to him would come true when he would become mute for 3 days. This is Zechariah’s Sign from God.

Then the Angels told Mary that she would indeed be used as an instrument of service for God, and would give birth to a man who would teach at a young age the true messages and laws of God, after so much corruption in the world. Because Mary has proven herself worthy in heart and soul, she became a mother for this wonderful being, we know today as Jesus.

Jesus will be taught the Torah, the Gospel and the scripture filled of wisdom, and Mary is given the news that she will mother the Mercy for mankind, known as the Messiah. Jesus will be able to perform miracles because of the special spirit he has from God.

The difference between Christianity and Islam happens at this crossing road. Many priests taught that Jesus was God here on earth and saved all of mankind in death, and Muslims are shown that Jesus was a servant of God and was given the power to help save mankind in life, through his teachings. Something that lies as a great mystery to all, is that In the End Times Jesus will have a special part in our retribution and judgement. Nobody knows exactly what this will be except that he will be a Mercy for mankind.

Jesus was sent by God to change the structure of religion that was happening before he was born. Too many religious leaders where using God’s name in vain to do their deeds. Jesus taught of the things allowed by God,  and the things that once were not allowed, and are allowed now. He was a guide, a loving messenger, and a honorable man just like his mother who birthed him miraculously.

Muslims love him dearly, just as much as Christians do. We do not worship the man, but only the God that created him. That really is the only difference and we should not argue or judge one another for it.
